Coronavirus (COVID-19) related Patient Visit and Clinic Update...
Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic and it's presence now being felt in Nova Scotia, extreme measures to isolate and slow down the progression of the pandemic have been put in place. Both Federal and Provincial Health authorities have recommended social distancing and isolation for all to best of our abilities. This includes visits with health professionals for non essential and non-acute health concerns. This has impacted Dr. Woodworth's clinic locations in the following manner.
Dr. Woodworths clinic in Kingsport, Nova Scotia is currently closed until further notice.
Dr. Woodworth can continue to offer patient care / consults with patients at his Bedford and Dartmouth locations through Online Tele-medicine or phone consults for emergency or critical situations. Please contact either the Dartmouth Honey and Ginger clinic or the Bedford Honey and Ginger clinic for consult options and instructions.
Dr. Woodworth encourages everyone to be extremely vigilant and adhere to all health advisories and recommendations to help curb the spread of the pandemic and to shorten the curve so we can all get back to some degree of normalcy. Be safe! This too shall pass.
One final thought... the same parts of immune system which targets infectious agents such as viruses... (T Cells, B Cells, Immunoglobulins, etc) are the SAME parts of the immune system which can target foods in our diet. If we address the unnecessary immune responses to foods, we have more immune resources available to address infectious agents. This is an extremely effective means of boosting and supporting the immune system. For current patients who have identified these immunological "food factors" please be as compliant as possible with your specialized diets. Plug those holes in the bottom of your immune system bucket, so it can go deal with Infectious "stuff" appropriately.
Please read the articles linked on the following page for a better understanding of the diet/immune connection...
